Bitcoin continues to hold onto support above the $10,200 resistance, after managing to break through to the $10,300 support yesterday. Once again, most of the major altcoin markets are seeing modest price gains on the day. Here are your latest cryptocurrency news and prices. 

Latest Bitcoin (BTC) news and prices

Bitcoin’s (BTC) price has been hovering above the $10,200 support since yesterday. However, at one stage, the OG cryptocurrency managed to push through to the $10,300 resistance despite trading sideways for most of the day.

Yesterday saw Bitcoin (BTC) hit a low of $10,080 before spiking to an intraday high of $10,400. Today, however, the world’s number one cryptocurrency is trading at $10,289.55 as per data from CoinMarketCap.

Rakesh Upadhyay, a crypto analyst believes that bitcoin’s price could remain stable as traders prepare themselves ahead of Bakkt’s highly-anticipated Bitcoin futures platform.

Latest Ethereum (ETH) news and prices

In the past few sessions, ETH price remained well bid above the $170 support against the US Dollar. However, bitcoin price remained in a range above the $10,200 support area. Ethereum price is showing positive signs and is trading nicely above the key $175 support area. Moreover, there was a break above the $180 level and the 100 hourly simple moving average.

Latest Ripple (XRP) news and prices

Fresh data from the Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association (JVCEA) has revealed that as of April 2019, the value of yen-denominated Bitcoin (BTC) holdings has outstripped those in XRP on domestic exchanges. 

As Cointelegraph Japan reported on Sept. 10, the surge in the value of exchanges’ Bitcoin holdings coincides with the beginning of Bitcoin’s 2019 bullish uptrend, which saw the top cryptocurrency hit close to $14,000 by late June.

Bitcoin Cash (BCH) news and prices

Over the last three sessions, BCH/USD is trending in a flag formation, getting primed for a breakout. This Tuesday the price has gone up from $304 to 307.20. Four days back, the price broke above the downward trending line and is above the 200-day simple moving average (SMA 200), SMA 50 and SMA 20 curves. The moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) shows increasing bullish momentum.

Litecoin (LTC) news and prices

Litecoin is outperforming most of the cryptocurrencies among the top 20 taking advantage of the bullish zone above $70 to push for gains towards $75. The crypto started the session on Tuesday at $69.9752 before shooting to an intraday high of $73.23. However, diminishing buying pressure to the upside has seen a minor correction to $71.67.

Tether (USDT) news and prices

Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency company Tether announced on Monday that it has launched its Chinese yuan-pegged stablecoin dubbed “CNH₮.” The company is expanding its basket of supported currencies in a bid to attract Chinese traders.

Why it matters: Tether has beaten China’s central bank to the punch in launching a yuan-pegged digital currency. The country’s central bank recently ramped up research and development in digital fiat currency which could be ready for launch as early as November.

EOS news and prices

Venture capitalist Tim Draper, an early investor in Tesla, Skype, and Baidu, has joined the board of MakeSense Labs, the provider of a messaging app built on the EOS blockchain.

Announced Monday, the appointment follows the August launch of the startup’s Sense.Chat on iOS and Android.

Since 2014, Draper has made headlines through his active investments in the crypto industry, including leading financing rounds in Coinbase and Ledger, and purchasing 30,000 bitcoin at a government auction. In October 2014, Draper predicted bitcoin would rise in price to $10,000 within three years. (It took two months longer than that to happen.)

Binance Coin (BNB) news and prices

What could be termed as an important development in the field of cryptocurrency, the founder and chief executive officer of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has announced the listing of Binance (BNB) on the BitMart. The coin will be available in two trading pairs – BNB/BTC and BNB/USDT. Before the listing, BitMart came out with the communication regarding their decision of listing BNB on their platform. BitMart said that the exchange always takes a considerate viewpoint of all rules and regulations regarding the listing of any digital asset on their platform.

Amid the surge in crypto adoption across the globe, the expansion of crypto ATM networks had also surged. The major cities already have a wide network of crypto ATMs established, with Basel becoming the latest city to get crypto ATM.
