Final Fantasy VII Remake Delay Has Eager Gamers Shockingly at Ease

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake has been delayed until April 2020.
  • The news was announced via the Final Fantasy VII Twitter page.
  • Most of the fan responses have been overwhelmingly positive.

It’s true. Final Fantasy VII Remake has been delayed. Originally to be released in March of 2020, it is now coming out at some point in April instead. The news has been quite devastating to a large part of the gaming community. We will now have to wait an extra month for one of 2020’s hottest games.

Normally this sort of news is met with great amounts of rage and bewilderment. But, for once, everyone is being really chilled about it all. This says quite a lot about how our attitudes about video games are starting to change.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Fans Are Remaining Calm

If you take a look at the original tweet, you might expect to see some bad responses. Usually, people would be screaming about having to wait longer. Or at the very least they’d be complaining at the developers. But, for the first time in a long time, people are being very understanding.

One person responded with a Miyamoto Quote. “A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is bad forever.”. Echoing the sentiment other users told Square Enix to take their time. There is almost no one going crazy in the replies as of right now.

There are a few people who have expressed their disappointment. But, even they are being pretty civil about it all. Even someone who had the date in March booked off avoided swearing or blaming the developers. It’s a surprisingly wholesome moment when you first click on that Twitter thread.

People Also Really Want a Demo

There are a few people suggesting things to take the edge off. Several people have made it clear that they want a demo released. One man even suggested that they make Sephiroth extra sexy to say sorry. Although, I’m pretty sure that that one was a joke. Probably.

It seems like Final Fantasy VII Remake has got some pretty laid back fans out there. In general, there is an understanding that a delay means Square Enix cares about the product. This news just means that the game is probably going to be pretty good.

At least that’s what we’re all hoping for. If this keeps up we might be able to convince everyone that the gaming community is a calm and respectful place. Hopefully, this new style of reaction will become the norm for all negative gaming news. Even if it did kill the hype for some.
